Lithuanian music business association was established in 2015. It unites the most active management and event organisation companies from the music industry. The Association seeks to encourage and support cooperation between their members in order to achieve common goals in the fields of education, export and lobbying.
Lithuanian music business association seeks to become the main body representing the interests of the local music sector.
Market education / development:
- Information exchange, networking (membership in Creative Industries Association KIA, collaboration with author’s and neighbouring rights organizations AGATA, LATGA, AVAKA, collaboration with Lithuanian cultural attaches etc.);
- organisation of seminars, conferences, social initiatives (What’s Next in Music?, Pradėk nuo savęs);
- collection of statistical data.
Support of export activities:
- participation of Lithuanian delegation at the most important international showcase festivals / conferences in the target countries („Eurosonic Noorderslag“ in the Netherlands, „Tallinn Music Week” in Estonia, „Sound of the Xity“ in China, „The Great Escape“ in Great Britain, „Reeperbahn“ in Germany among others);
- organisations of the showcase festival-conference „What’s Next in Music?“;
- particioation in international networks (ETEP, EMEE, among others).
Lobbyism:
- representation of the interest of LMVA in the process of cooperation with governmental organizations, who can influence important aspects of the music market (Ministry of Culture, Parliament, State Tax Inspectorate, among others).
